Robot Dreams Design Breakdown

A couple of month ago I posted a video of my Robot Dreams GBC Module in operation. For those interested in more details about how it works, I finally sat down and put together a video discussing the major design aspects of it.

In the video I discuss the modular nature of the design, which allows it to be configured with any number of robots, the mechanism used by the robots to pick up and transfer the balls, and the new LEGO splat gears that I’m using behind the robots.

I have received several requests for building instructions, but it will likely be a while before I get to putting them together. I wanted to set it up at a public display event to do some long term reliability testing first, but it looks like it will be a while before any such events will be running again.

    • A couple of other people have reverse engineered it and posted their own instructions, so I doubt I will ever do it myself. I have not looked at them in detail, though. You should be able to find them pretty easily. Be warned, this module is not really fit for ‘production’.
